Council Position No. 7
Term of office: January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2013.
Time on the council: 3 years.
Education and Profession: De’Sean is currently a Water Quality Planner and Project Manager with the King County Department of
Natural Resources and Parks where he works on community relations, directs public involvement consultants, and represents the agency
on various intergovernmental planning groups. He also works with the local communities and the Puget Sound Partnership to update their
work in accordance with the regional action agenda strategies.
De’Sean graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Political Science. His wide range of interests include:
public policy, transportation, education, and environmental sustainability.
Family: De’Sean and his wife Nichole have lived in Tukwila for 9 years and have one son, Kellen.
Hobbies: Community organizing and advocacy, football, biking, traveling and walking the dog (Ramses…another family member!)
Affiliations/Associations: Certified Mediation Training, Member; King County Martin Luther King Program Committee; Founding member of a non-profit “Dad and ME” Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity; Tukwila International Boulevard Action Committee and OneAmerica Board Member.
