Tukwila contracts for services with King County Animal Control and City Hall is one of many places that customers can purchase King County Pet Licenses. Although we do not handle mail in requests, license tags are issued over the counter at the City Clerk's Office during our normal business hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Animal license fees are as follows:
| If the cat or dog has been spayed or neutered (proof required) | $30.00 |
| Unaltered cat or dog | $90.00 |
| Juvenile cat or dog (under 6 months old) - 6 month expiration date | $5.00 |
| Senior Citizen Lifetime (altered pet, applicant must be 65 or older) | $20.00 for dogs; $12.00 for cats |
| Replacements for lost tags | $5.00 |
| Service animal (registration paperwork required) | $0 |
All pet licenses expire 12 months from the month purchased (excluding juvenile licenses). Senior Citizen Lifetime licenses are also renewed yearly, at no cost to the owner.
